Obituary of Msgr. Richard P. Kopinski
It's with a heavy heart we announce the passing of Msgr. Richard Kopinski. He served as a Priest for 57 years. He was a missionary and teacher in Uganda, East Africa. He then was a Chaplain and teacher at Holy Cross High School in Flushing. He served as an associate Pastor of St. Catherine of Sienna, Franklin Square and Holy Name of Mary, Valley Stream. He was incardinated as a Priest of the Diocese of Rockville Centre in 1978. He was a member of the faculty of the former St. Pius X Preparatory Seminary, Uniondale. He became a Pastor of Our Lady of Ostrabrama in Cutchogue where he served many wonderful years. He was then transferred to St. Hyacinth in Glen Head where he was one of the last Polish Priest to be elevated to Monsignor by Pope John Paul II . After 20 wonderful years at the St. Hyacinth Parish, he spent his remaining years at St. Joseph Home for the Aged in Huntington where he continued his religious journey. Msgr. Will be missed by all who knew him.

Burial at St Philip Cemetery in East Northport
